Daria returned to Milano where she now represents selected photographers and film directors for fashion, advertising and digital campaigns. Michelle Dunn Marsh BioMichelle Dunn Marsh is the founder of Minor Matters Books. An educator and advocate for significant photography, she has worked in the field for twenty-five years, fostering the creation of over 100 photography books. In the last five years she has also curated exhibitions including Jim Marshall: The Rolling Stones 1972 (EMP Museum), Here I Am—Photographs by Lisa Leone (Bronx Museum), and All Power: Visual Legacies of the Black Panther Party, Terminal, Me and My Selfie with Chieko Phillips, and Eugene Richards: "Enduring Freedom," (PCNW). She is interested in transcendent photography that pushes the boundaries of our culture and the medium today. Kevin R. Miller Bio Kevin Miller is a California-based consulting curator and exhibition developer in freelance practice. He is formerly the Director and Senior Curator of the Southeast Museum of Photography, a public museum in Florida, from 2001 to 2017. At the museum he curated and presented more than 400 exhibitions and produced numerous exhibition texts, catalogues and public programs. He is interested in reviewing developed bodies of work ready for publication or exhibition as well as reviewing evolving series still in development that will benefit from critical interpretation and editing. Monica Suder BioAs an international creative consultant and career coach, commuting between Europe and the US, Monica assists photographic artists in carving out a strong identity, developing original websites and highly personal fine art projects. She edits portfolios and writes bios and artist statements and helps photographers connect with publishers, galleries and institutions. Her specialty is what she calls "Creative Identity". As an editor, she worked at Magnum, Time-Life Books, Rolling Stone, Outside Magazine and other publications. Natalie Yubas BioNatalie Yubas is a photo editor with CNN+, based in New York City. Previously with the CNN Digital Photo Desk, Natalie oversaw the image selection for articles and galleries for appearing on CNN.com for the Travel, Style and Entertainment sections, as well as CNN’s Pictures of the Year report and obituary coverage. Carol McCusker BioCarol McCusker is currently the Curator of Photography at the Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida. Prior to that, she was Curator of Photography at the Museum of Photographic Arts (MoPA), San Diego, where she curated over 35 exhibitions. McCusker was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts and Andy Warhol Foundation grants for her traveling exhibition and catalogue, Aftermath: The Fallout of War—America and the Middle East (2016) that featured twelve international photographers, and award-winning authors and poets. I am curating a BIPOC exhibition on Land Security, Farming and Food Justice and wish to see Indigenous landscape/farm photographers, but not exclusively Kevin R. Block 2 11:40-13:40 | Juan Curto BioJuan Curto is the owner and director of the trend-setting and highly successful gallery, Camara Oscura, specializing in international contemporary photography. The gallery opened in 2007 and exhibits the work of emerging and mid-career artists, not only in the gallery but in the most reputed art fairs worldwide. Mr. Curto teaches marketing of art, and photography, at both the Universidad Nebrija and Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, both in Madrid, Spain. Frank Meo BioFounder of thephotocloser.com, Frank advises and consulates with photographers from around the globe. His services include estimating and negotiating of behalf of photographers to ad agencies. For 25 years, Frank has represented photographers that include Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalists in securing highly valued commercial assignments. He has worked on hundreds of company photo libraries and campaigns for clients such as American Express, Acura Motor Sports, US Coast Guard Xerox, ESPN, Citi, Nike and others. Robert Morton BioRobert Morton has worked in the world of book publishing for more than four decades for such publishers as Bantam, Time Life and over 25 years at Harry Abrams as Director of Special Projects. Currently, Morton works as an editor, agent, and consultant for photographers and artists seeking publication in books. In addition to helping to prepare presentations for consideration by publishers (selecting and sequencing photographs, deciding upon forms of presenting work, discussing desired formats and printing methods), Morton works with the artist and publisher to find and enlist authors for introductions and other texts. Reviewer Preference:Robert is interested mostly in seeing subject-based work of all kinds, especially book-worthy ideas, rather than abstract images or work of purely personal expression. Pamela Jean Tinnen BioPamela is a curator and writer based in New York. She has worked for over a decade as a curator specializing in public-art at NYU, as well as for contemporary art galleries. Her artistic, academic and curatorial interests most often engage photography, noir-theory, semiotics, dark-tourism, aesthetics and visual-culture. Tess Vinnedge BioTess Vinnedge is the Regional Director at the Edwynn Houk Gallery, New York, and has worked with artists Elliott Erwitt, Lalla Essaydi, Sebastiaan Bremer, Sally Mann, Michael Eastman and Mona Kuhn. Vanessa Hallett BioSince joining Phillips’ Photographs department in 2005, Vanessa was named Director and Worldwide Head of Photographs in 2010 and has led her international team to the forefront of the international photographs market. Featured in the Art+Auction December 2011 Power Issue for her achievements, Vanessa’s tenure in the Photographs department has been steadfastly defined by the successful introduction of emerging photographers to the secondary market and the setting of numerous world auction records for classic and contemporary photographers. Hava Gurevich Bio Hava Gurevich is the Director of art2art Circulating Exhibitions. Founded in 2004, art2art Circulating Exhibitions is an organization that curates and tours photography exhibitions, is committed to providing high-quality collections on a wide range of topics that are accessible to regional museums, university art galleries, and other small or mid-size public institutions. As the founding Director, Ms.Gurevich is responsible for scouting new shows, curating both solo and group exhibitions, and placing them in museums. She is actively searching for new photography shows to add to art2art’s museum offerings. art2art’s exhibitions are content driven with a wide range of themes with an emphasis on work that addresses current events, multiculturalism, natural history, and anthropology. Pilar Law BioPilar's investigation of and involvement in all facets of the photo industry have contributed to her unique understanding of the processes, aesthetics and value of photography in today’s art market. Upon her return to Santa Fe seven years ago after living and working in the Bay Area and LA, Pilar founded Edition ONE Gallery on Canyon Road, a contemporary photography gallery with an inviting living-room atmosphere featuring the works of a hand-picked group of artists working in traditional and digital media. Alternating one-person-shows and themed exhibitions for the first seven years allowed Pilar to showcase and inform visitors about the diversity and talents of photographers selected from a world-wide pool. The work is exciting, the openings legendary, hosting photo-related events and portfolio reviews has expanded her stable of artists and their audience. Nina Raj BioNina Raj is a multi-disciplinary creative – a designer, naturalist, and community organizer, with a background in mission-driven advertising. Her passion for the power of photography began when she visited a Diane Arbus exhibition in London as a teenager. She had never seen anything like it but her emotional reflexes and responses to the images she saw truly awakened a life-long appreciation and love for the art of photography and what it can potentially convey to the viewer. She is a founding Board Member of PhotoAlliance, and earned an MFA in photography from the California College of the Arts. She currently lives in Berkeley, CA.
